Ever wonder why some chalk brands cost as much as a new set of quickdraws? Yeah, we couldn't figure it out either. Honestly, we were tired of overpaying for chalk that vanishes before you even reach the crux.

We’re Crux Power Climbing, a small crew based out of St. George, Utah that hand-fills every single bag we sell. We aren't some giant corporation. We’re just a couple of climbers who believe you shouldn't have to drop a fortune just to get a reliable grip.

We use ultra pure magnesium carbonate. No fillers, no weird drying agents, and definitely no "secret" ingredients. Just high-grade chalk that does its job so you can do yours.

We don't just "oversee" things from a distance we’re the ones grinding in every part of our business. We use the best materials available because we know what it’s like to be on a demanding project where your chalk has to work. If it isn't good enough for us to use on our own sends, it doesn't leave the shop.

Who's Behind the Bags?

We’re Danielle Hawkins and Adam Macke. We aren't just the owners of Crux Power we’re climbers who live and breathe climbing here in St. George.

Crux Power didn't start in a boardroom; it started because we were frustrated. We wanted to build a company that supports community and makes gear we’re proud to use ourselves. That’s why we’re hands on with everything we do.

When we aren't in the shop, you’ll probably run into us at the local crag. We’re out there climbing right alongside you, testing our gear on the same routes you're projecting. If you see us, come say hi. We’d love to hear how the chalk is working for you.
